Yamanaka Itsumo, Nara Shikake
Title:Itsumo and Shikake:Help out on the Farm(Past Event Role-Play)[]
IItsumo: -A young Itsumo stood outside of the Yamanaka compound. It was a sunny day in the village of Yonshigakure the early morning fog had already cleared out and the sun was high in the sky. It was about noon when the bird landed on her forhead and pecked her and took her attention away from her little sister. Itsumo’s normal team was sent separate Missions for the day and she was to be paired up with someone she hadn’t worked with before as a genin. It caught her off guard when the Mission arrived via a bird that she was to be helping out of a Farm on the outskirts of the village not far from the Yamanaka compound it was a farm located between the Nara and Yamanaka compound so it was odd. Itsumo looked over at her little sister who was sitting on the steps waiting for Itsumo to say something to her. Itsumo didn’t feel like letting her sister down again she had told her she would work with her on genjutu but she had to go do a Mission. – “Sorry Mizuki I can’t train today I have a Mission I need to go do.” –She didn’t stay around or wait for her sister’s answer she darted off leaving the compound and heading to the farm the Mission said that she would meet another Genin at the Farm so she slowly entered the Farm gate and made her way to the farm house to meet the other genin and the farmer.-
UnaruInuzuka: -Shikake gave a yawn as his mom had shoved a message at him when he had just sat at the table to eat breakfast she had pried him out of bed for. He yawned again rubbing an eye to clear those chocolate orbs to read it. It was a mission order, Go to the farm down the road, meet up with another genin and then do as he was asked. He knew one of his team mates to be off on a trip with their family and the other actually had been needed to be a replacement for a medic on another team so he knew neither of them would be the other genin. He sighed, he had hoped to be able to just relax till the other two were back, guess that is being thrown out the door…- “Troublesome…” –He got prodded and glanced over realizing he probably was staring at the note a while and the food on the table was ignored. He stuffed the food in his face and glanced at the time, he would have already started towards the farm by now but found himself lagging in promptness this morning. He finished his food grabbed his gear, settled the scarf over his nose and put on his coat before jogging off towards the farm. He wouldn’t arrive for at least five minutes after the note had asked for but he doubted much would have happened in that short amount of time. He wondered who may be the one he works his mind running over multiple people in the village that it might be but shrugged it off, there was a good amount of genin home at this time so it could be anyone… he soon came to the farm his steps quick but clearly having slowed down as he entered the place. He noticed a impatient farmer and a head of blonde hair as he moved to get to them.- “Sorry bout being late mom wouldn’t let me go till I finished eating.”
IItsumo: -Itsumo titled her head and looked at the boy who joined her and the farmer on the porch of the farm house. She tried not to laugh as the other Genin couldn’t leave without eating it was late in the day so he should have eaten hours ago she though she shrugged. Itsumo only knew one clan that was that lazy. - “You must be a Nara” –she muttered as she looked to the famer whom had a broken leg. - “The Mission said you needed help Sir what is it that you needed help with?” –She looked up at him with her glowing sky blue eyes and smiled softly. After several moments he answered that he needed the Cows milked the horses stalls cleaned out and the eggs collected from the chicken coop. Itsy nodded and looked at the boy whom she assumed was a nara just because of how he acted. - “How about I milk the cows and you gather the eggs and then we can meet up to clean out the stalls?”- She thought splitting the two easier tasks would make this mission go quicker.-
UnaruInuzuka: -It was true the sun was almost at noon and he had only been forced out of bed by a mother that tried to make her son actually do something more than be in bed the entire day… even if he likely would just be outside in some hide away area and find himself nodding off anyway. He had stuffed his hands into his pockets of his coat moments before he heard her muttered comment and couldn’t help grin under his mask. He glanced her over a moment, blonde hair and blue eyes and a slight resemblance of one of his fathers associates so he figured her to likely be Yamanaka but with how things go he could be mistaken since Namikaze also seem to share those two main traits so he didn’t mention it right away but he did listen into the instructions giving a small nod of his head on what needed to be done. He let the girl speak up about what could be done and gave a nod of his head again.- “Sounds good, by the way, names Shikake Nara as you seemed to guess. Honestly thought I would get today off with my team mates off doing their own thing for a few days…” –He moved along towards the barn and coop area not rushing allowing them to speak a moment before they went to work.-
IItsumo: -Itsumo laughed softly as he said his name she was right he was indeed a Nara.- “Itsumo Yamanaka” –She said as she walked over to the barn and entered the large structure and found three cows sitting in a pen inside the center of the barn. She looked around for a few seconds before finding a bucket and stool sitting off to the right of the entrance to the pen. She walked over and picked up the bucket and then opened the pen and then picking up the stool and slipping inside the pen. She pushed the gate closed with her left foot and moved towards the first cow. The Cow was white with brown spots covering its body Itsy had seen cows before and had seen other people milk them but had never done so herself so she was a bit nervous as she se the stool down next to the cow and sat on the stool placing the bucket under the utters of the cow. She rubbed her hands together hoping that they were not too cold for the cow then placed her hand on the two utters and pulled them downwards and back up in a milking motion. It took a few moments for milk to come out of the utters and fill the bucket up a little bit over a third of the way full before milk stopped flowing. She then moved to the second cow a white cow with black spots and repeated the process this time the bucket got almost two thirds full before the milk stopped flowing and she moved to the third cow and white cow with black and brown spots she did the same thing till the bucket was full then started to carry it out of the pen she set it just outside the gate then went back into the pen for the stool and then closed and locked the gate. Itsumo then set the stool off to the side and took the milk over to the farm house porch and set it near the farmer who was waiting on the porch as she looked around for the Nara to see what he was up to.-
UnaruInuzuka: -He nodded but a grin seemed to grin under the mask that even hit his eyes, he was right she was a Yamanaka.- “Glad to meet you.” –With this he had broke from her as she went to enter the barn while he let himself shift towards the chicken coop taking note of the multiple colors ranging from dark brown to stark white birds roaming around the enclosed area. He glanced at the gate and noticed a small stack of baskets on the side of the door just outside. He grabbed on of those figuring they were there for the gathering of the eggs and flipped the lock open and slipped inside closing the gate door moving to enter the coop to see what eggs he could get. He usually didn’t have problems with animals, his calm and relaxed personality let even skittish deer wish to get close to him so a flock of chicken couldn’t be much more of a problem. He moved into the large coop and glanced in each nest finding eggs either left open to be taken or hidden underneath nesting hens soon he had a basketful of eggs. As he was working he hadn’t realized that a small scuffle of the hens near the door had knocked the not completely settled lock to open and have the gate slowly swing open without notice. With this fact the hens seeing the chance of roaming a bit had taken the chance of slipping out of their compound. By the time he was finished most of the hens had slipped out. He had just moved out for the coop and glanced around… he knew there was more chickens in this place when he first came in here… His chocolate orbs blinked as they soon focused to seeing the chickens outside the enclosure. With a groan he moved quickly to set the egg basket on the ground near the pile of baskets and shut the gate. - “Great… how troublesome…” –He then noticed that Itsumo was looking in his direction and found a hand scratch the back of his head lightly embarrassed. - “Oops?” –With that he had went to go after the group being sure not to scare them least he never get a hold of any of them hoping the Yamanaka might be kind enough to help out on the little mistake of his.-
IItsumo:-Itsumo blinked seeing the chickens all lose over the farm she didn’t know what to say to the Nara as all he said about the issue was Opps. She sighed softly and kicked a small rock as she looked around for a way to get the chickens back into the coup. She for one was not going to chase the chickens around the yard trying to catch them. - “This couldn’t be more troublesome…I’m not chasing those birds…” –she mumbled as she kept looking around after a few moments she spotted a bag of chicken feed over by the gate of the coup.- “I might have an Idea” –she said as she walked over to the chicken coup and grabbed the bag of feed. She took the bag and carried it a distance from the chicken coup and then pulled out a kunai to cut a hole in the corner of the bag. The feed began to pour out and she started to walk backwards towards the coup leaving a trail of feed leading to the coup and then she dropped the bag of feed inside the chicken coup so that it split open all over the ground. She then exited the coup and waited to see what the chickens would do next.-
UnaruInuzuka: -Shikake listened as he heard she wasnt about to chase the birds around and gave a nod of his head knowing the fact of such wasn't very productive but also had the fact of tiring in that idea as well so he waited and watched as he heard her mention she had an idea. As she had grabbed the bag of feed he soon gave a nod of his head he realized where this was going and took note of her using that trick but an idea came to him as she worked and soon moved out farther from the coop to circle around then to gently heard them towards either the food or the gate itself. His aloft and slow actions, even letting himself stuff his hands into his jacket pockets allowed him to get around them and slowly heard them towards the gate, each one that lingered at the trail soon was easily nudged to the more interesting pile of feed that was given within the coop itself. The feed did help it kept them generally in the right area rather than spread out like it would have been like so he was grateful for the help of Itsumo in that front. He soon found the last chicken get inside and soon hooked the gate fully closed before picking up the basket of eggs. He glanced around at the place before looking to Itsumo.- "Thanks for the help." With that he gave a smile under the mask before moving off towards the farmhouse setting the eggs down next to the milk bucket, now for the horses stalls... fun... he gave a slow sigh and motioned to the barn again, hopefully they can get this done without any troubles.- "guess its the dirty work now... " -With this fact he moved into the barn and gave it a slow glance over it before taking notice of the few stalls to the side. His feet moved him over to them and glanced it over before glancing around, a few tools for the endeavor was already set up for them a couple of rakes, bags and a hose not to mention a couple of bails of hay as well, he knew well enough what was entailed with all this having had to care for sick deer for his parents sometimes and needing to bring them within a confined stall for just that so it really wasn't much different... just more work. He glanced over to Itsumo and considered things before asking.- "So got to ask, have you ever had to do this kind of thing before?" -As he spoke he moved to the rakes and took one offering her the other one in the process.-
IItsumo:-Itsumo let out a sigh of relief when the last chicken was in the coup and Shikake had closed and latched the gate behind it. She nodded as he spoke about only the dirty work being left and she knew exactly what he was talking about they had yet to much the stalls of the horses. As she followed him back to the barn she saw four stalls two for each for them to muck out she had only done this once or twice before when her father made her help out at other farmers from the family. She nodded and took the rake speaking up in a normal tone.- “I have done this once or twice but I’m not and expert. There are four stalls and two of us we can each do two and get it done faster.” –she said as she headed down to the furthest stall. She opened the gate and saw a very pretty pale brown horse with a dark brown mane. The horse didn’t look to happy to have someone it didn’t know in the stall with it but she went in anyway and began to rake out the dirty hay from around the horses feet. It took her about five or six minutes to do the first stall and put fresh hay down on the ground for the horse. She smiled and pet the horse on the nose.- “there you go girl now you have a clean bed for the night.” –she spoke softly then exited the stall latching it behind her. She then moved to the second stall. A vary pretty Black horse with a white mane, was standing there looking over the edge of the gate of the stall she blinked and reached up to open the stall. The horse nayed at her and shook its head as she entered it stepped back not looking happy at all.- “It’s ok boy I’m just going to get rid of the dirty hay” –she said in a soft hushed tone to the horse as she began to rake the dirty hay out of the stall. The horse was calmer it seemed as she finished getting the dirty hay out and putting more clean hay down before petting his nose and leaving the stall. She then gathered up all the dirty hay with a shovel she found sitting next to a wheel barrel and placed it into the wheel barrel and waited for Shikake this whole process took her about fourteen minutes total and she leaned against the second stall as she waited for him.-
UnaruInuzuka: -He gave a nod to both her comment of having done it before and that yes having them both take half of the work load will make it quicker for them both. He only watched a moment as she had walked into the stall before turning to his own job. He may have taken a bit longer but his actions were more sedate in nature. The first horse, a dapple grey, gave him a sniff and snort before almost completely ignoring him as he moved inside. The most he got from the animal was a click of its hooves on the cement ground as he was swiping the hay from underneath his feet with the rake. He ran a hand down that flank as he moved along it was a soft touch and clearly easing the tension from the animal as he continued to work clearing out the straw from the stall. With the first one cleared out he soon had gathered up the wet and dirty hay and soon was replacing it with dry and clean ones. He shifted out of the stall and latched it easily before moving off to the next stall with a dark burgundy mare. He repeated the process and slipped into the stall. He found the mare a bit skittish and soothed it down a moment with a soft set of sounds and a gentle touch before working on the stall itself. He kept a eye on the horse for it kept eyeing him but it went smoothly enough as he moved along clearing out that hay and soon bringing in clean new piles for it to enjoy. He took a good twenty or so minutes himself to finish off the whole process but he didn't mind the extra bit of time, at least it allowed him not to deal with a upset mare in that time and honestly he wasn't about to rush just to get out of there, he was lazy, it showed thru him not rushing the project even if it would have likely taken him around the same time it took Itsumo to finish. He glanced over noticing that Itsumo was done with her stalls already and lifted a brow but then shrugging, he knew he was taking his time. He soon was moving on over and grabbing the shovel and soon scooping up the dirty hay from the ground to end up in the wheel barrel as well. The young Nara considered them taking out the garbage but honestly the job asked of them had been met, be it that the owners wish to place it in a compost pile or just trash it was their choice. He moved to the hose and rinsing his shoes off he soon sprayed down the area in front of the stalls clearing out anything that was left over getting the place clean before walking back and turning the water off. As he straightened up he glanced around in thought before speaking up as he started strolling out of the barn.- "Well thats done, guess all we have left to do is talk to the farmer and head out of here and turn in the mission to the mission office."
IItsumo:-Itsumo nodded as she listened to him say they had nothing else to do but turn in the mission so she lead the way back over to the farmer. She told the Farmer all about what had happened even the incident with the chickens and the famer only laughed and said that it happened from time to time. Then he thanked them and sent them on their way after signing the Mission forms that they had indeed completed the Mission asked of them. Itsumo took the slip she had gotten and headed off to turn in the Mission slip to the Mission office witch was actually the down stairs part of the Kage office. The building itself was far from where the farm was they were on the outskirts of the village where most of the compounds and farms were located in Yonshigakure where the Kage building was in the center of the Main part of the village. Itsumo walked down the dirt path in the direction of the village and sighed. She didn’t know much about the Nara but at least he had been able to fix his own mistake with some help and he did do his share of the work on the mission even for being a lazy Nara. She had been so lost in thought that she didn’t notice she had already reached the stone paths of the village and was about to pass the Kage building when she finally snapped back to reality and tuned into the Kage building. After handing her Mission slip to a Jounin she turned and left only saying a quick word to Shikake as she left.- “Thank you and Have a good afternoon.” –She said as she took off running back down the path in which she came from back to the Yamanaka Compound and her waiting family.-
UnaruInuzuka: -He had followed her out of the barn and let himself just listen into the conversation at least noot feeling so out of it for accidently letting those birds loose. He soon gave a yawn of his own and rubbed the back of his neck as he walked along with Itsumo as they were heading back to the main part of the village. He had slipped his hands into those pockets and soon was just letting himself both keep a ear open but also take in the place. Those chocolate orbs seemed to roam over each place including the fog that was rolling in as they got closser to the middle of the village proper. He took notice that it hadnt gotten too late from their early mission and figured he might be able to head over to the gardens and plop himself on the grass for a few hours to relax before he was needed at home. He took the turn towards the mission ofice and noticed Itsumo take to turning sharply as if she had been distracted and they moved into the office. He had let himself follow her once again and waited till he knew for sure he was included in the mission before a smile came to his lips behind that mask and spoke up after she did seeing she was clearly in a rush to head off herself.- And thank you Itsumo-san, you have a good day as well and nice meeting you." -He saw her take off and watched silently a moment before finally turning and heading off towards that gardens his feet slow and relaxed as he strolled down the road thankful that the work of today was done.-

Genin Itsumo and Shikake recived and completed the Misssion to help out on the farm. After the chikens escaped Shikake and Itsumo got them all back into the coup before muching the stalls and giving the farmer the milk and eggs collected. They then turned in the Mission and went their seperate ways. This was how Itsumo and Shikake first meet.
